The Mosaic “Me”

There are many moving parts
to the mosaic that is me.
An equal amount,
I’ve found,
seem to be still cemented down.
But that’s nothing a chisel
and a smile won’t solve.
It’s quite viable to take a while.
You see,
survival’s slow to dissolve.
Resolve takes time to practice.
Not so long ago,
I was the least relaxed crappy actress,
with cards stacked all backwards,
but I learned how to hack this
single shot at smiling wide,
by piling on the selfless side,
until my longing leveled out.
